This is a classic tribal metal choker necklace, with chain and flat, circular metal dangles and a set of large foil-backed, colored beaded pieces on its main portion. The dangles are also studded with many fine and faceted metal pieces.
Worn by Kuchi tribeswomen for hundreds of years in Afghanistan, these old pieces are nearly impossible to find except in old collections. As was the tradition, this piece has white cloth cord attached for tying around the neck. It weighs around 200 gms.
Golden metallic beads are hard to find in kuchi/afghan jewelry. What we come across usually are pieces in silver, therefore this is a one of a kind piece.Looks beautiful around the neck and is a collectible.
Please note that I have added an adjustable cord for the closure because the original one was too out of shape.
Can be worn at different lengths around the neck.
