Legend has it that Ouled women were so scantily dressed when they danced that they had to defend themselves from overly enthusiastic admirers with bracelets like these. Others say that they resemble the spiked ridges of a local plant, and the design honors that food source.
Regardless of the design origin, this spiked cuff bracelet is infinitely tribal and fun to wear. Handcrafted in antiqued white metal by Turkmen Tribal Jewelry artisans living in Peshawar along the Afghan border.
