Description:
Cuff Bracelets such as this are classic Turkmen /Kazakh tribal bracelets, known as "qasli bilezik."
This is a fine heavy specimen that is over 50 years old, a gold washed silver bracelet with magnificent workmanship.
The band is called "qoshmah", decorated in classic Kazakh granulation technique, where tiny beads of silver metal are fused to the main body of the bracelet in triangular patterns. The bracelet ends in fangs,or claws supposedly to protect the wearer.
The bracelet boasts one red stone of uniform size. One decorate the front and there is a pair on each side. The Stones still look great and the fine metal work all around the edges and the center of the cuff is intact. However, understandably, there are signs of age and wear.
